Registrations of interest have now closed. The AMSJ is now seeking front cover design entries for the journal's inaugural issue! The winning entry will have exposure to thousands of medical students across the country in both print and electronic editions, as well as receiving a cash prize of $100 and being invited to the journal's launch function. If you have time over your break and enjoy a creative challenge, or if you know someone who does, this could be a great opportunity. Contact: Interested students should register their interest ias soon as possible with an email to AMSJ publications officer, Grace Leo, at g.leo@amsj.org. Please also direct any questions about the competition to this address. Theme/Inspiration: Being the inaugural issue, we do not want to tie the cover design down to a specific theme, so people can feel free to take full artistic licence. The only requirements for designs are that they project a professional academic image and have a general medical theme of some description. It would be desirable if a design could incorporate medical students and/or Australia into the theme also. Requirements: Could be photography, digital art, digitised print art, or any combination. Needs to be standard A4 size, high print resolution, full colour. Must be submitted electronically. Due Date: Sunday 31st January, 2010. Earlier submissions are highly recommended for review, comments and improvements. Conditions: The AMSJ reserves the right to commission or create a cover design apart from entries to this competition if none of the entries are considered suitable, in which case a prize will not be presented.
